Ange de la Musique

This work was inspired by a combination of Phantom obsession...mainly the novel and the movie, as i've never seen the stage performance. It's not really fanart, being inspired more by a phrase and a concept than by anything specific.
Ink, pure and simple, in my new red sketchbook. I'm very proud of that skull...I don't use much in the way of references, as I tend to remember images I see. So that skull was ref-less, and that's why i'm so proud of it.

Alternatively Death could be courting his Love, who sings songs of sorrow and darkness.
Yes, i'm all for assigning multiple meanings to this, as it could represent so much depending on a person's point of view.
